AirAsia Drone Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Redbeat Tech Academy Sdn. Bhd) is a fully owned subsidiary under Capital A, with a vision to pioneer commercial application of emerging techs in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM); namely Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS/Drones) and Electric Vertical Take-off & Landing (eVTOL); and to expand Airasia's connected network beyond just airports.Â
As AirAsia Drone acknowledges that in recent years that there has been increasing demand for professional drone pilots across industries and sectors, It pivoted to support the industry by providing quality remote pilot training leveraging on AirAsia's strong aviation background and decades of expertise. It started operating as the first CAAM accredited Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) in Jan 2022
