AirAsia is stepping up all precautionary measures on the ground and in the air to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff.

All guests are required to wear their own face masks in order to be permitted to travel.

BEFORE YOU TRAVEL, MAKE SURE:

For Malaysians, please ensure you’re eligible to travel. We also encourage you to download and activate the MySejahtera app that allows health self-assessment and health progress monitoring throughout the COVID-19 outbreak.
Arrive early at the airport
Arrive 3 hours before departure to allow enough time for all the necessary processes to take place.
Pre-book your hot meals online
Inflight Hot Meals will only be available when you pre-book meals online as there will be no onboard hot meal purchase available. Please pre-book your meals at least 24 hours ahead of your travel time.
Packaged snacks such as chips, nuts and chocolate, and canned or bottled beverages will be available as usual.

Mask Policy

Mask Policy

All guests are required to wear masks before boarding, during flight, and at baggage claim. Masks with exhalation/breathing valves are not permitted onboard the aircraft.

Crew are well trained to assist with any medical situation inflight including identification and isolation of anyone onboard who may feel unwell.

Every night stop, our aircraft undergoes a 2-hour disinfection process using cleaning agents approved by the Public Health Authority and the aircraft manufacturer.

Before each flight the aircraft is sprayed with an aerosol disinfectant.

HEPA Air Filters

HEPA Air Filters

All our aircraft are equipped with HEPA filters, normally used in hospitals, which filter out particles and airborne contaminants such as viruses and bacteria.
