Restrictions on use of electronic devices on board(DJ flight only)

AirAsia Japan applies the following restrictions on use of electronic devices on board. The restrictions are pursuant to the ministerial notification (effective on September 1. 2014) issued under Civil Aeronautics Act of Japan.

Category of electronic devices Restrictions on use of electronic devices on board
Mobile phones, PHS, Personal computers, Transceivers, Electronic game machines, Wireless microphones, Wireless headphones, Radio-controlled toys, Mobile routers, and Personal digital assistants. Electronic devices (incl. but not limited to the ones specified in the left column) that emit communication radio waves when activated.

No use of such devices is permitted after the doors are closed for departure, and until the aircraft starts taxing after landing※1.

Electronic devices (incl. but not limited to the ones specified in the left column) that do not emit communication radio waves when activated※2.

 
No restriction / Such devices can be used at all times※3

Please set electronic devices to the mode so that such devices do not emit electronic signals, or turn them off when cabin crew request to do so after all doors are closed. Those who break the law may be subject to fine of up to 500,000 yen. (Civil Aeronautics Act, Enforcement, Article 164-15) Also, please turn off electronic devices in your checked baggage.

※1 Cabin crew will make an announcement regarding use of electronic devices while on board.
※2 The status where the communication functions are disabled even if the power is on, such as airplane mode.
※3 Your captain may request you to turn your electronic devices off depending on circumstances.
