Introduction

  • This terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) governs all matters regarding payment made through @Checkout feature on airasia.com website and its mobile application (collectively as “airasia.com”).
  • This Terms and Conditions constitute a binding legal agreement between you and AirAsia Group Bhd (“AAGB, us, we, our”). By virtue of you clicking to make payment via the @Checkout on airasia.com, you are deemed to have read, understood and expressly agreed to the followings:
    1. this Terms and Conditions,
    2. Terms of Use of AAGB,
    3. Privacy Statement of AAGB,
    4. the Terms of Carriage issued by the relevant airline and
    5. the Terms and Conditions issued by BigPay Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“BigPay”) governing the use of the BigPay Card.

    The above documents may be amended and revised from time to time. You are advised to always check and keep yourself updated at all times. If you do not agree to any of the terms and conditions contained in the above documents, please do not proceed, refrain from and stop using the @Checkout feature.

  • Although AAGB owns and operates airasia.com, you agree to hold harmless and fully indemnify us from and against all third party actions, proceedings, claims and demands as may arise in connection with and as a result of any matter pertaining to your purchase made through and use of @Checkout.

Specific Terms

  • @Checkout is an additional payment method offered by AAGB to anyone that has an AirAsia Membership (“AirAsia Account”) and a BigPay Card. Should you wish to sign up for an AirAsia Membership, please click here. You can apply for a BigPay Card here. Please note the owner of the AirAsia Account does not have to be the same person as the owner of the BigPay Card.
  • For increased convenience, we now offer the option to have your payment details securely stored in a PCI Vault which is PCI DSS compliant through the @Checkout feature. To use this feature, you would need to log in to your AirAsia Account and activate the feature. To activate the @Checkout feature, you are required to go through a one-time process of the 3D secure authentication of the BigPay Card, to complete the first purchase. If you choose to store a BigPay card with us, we may not ask you for the Card Verification Value (CVV) or security code the next time you use it to make a purchase or booking.
  • Once the first purchase is completed, the said BigPay Card will be automatically added, saved and linked to your AirAsia Account. While the BigPay Card is automatically added, saved and linked, you may choose to delete the said BigPay Card at any time in the AirAsia Account. By virtue of you adding, saving and linking your BigPay Card, you consent and irrevocably authorize us to automatically charge and debit your BigPay Card for the purchase amount whenever the purchase of the flight ticket(s) or add-ons (meals, baggage, in-path hotels, insurance etc) is confirmed.
  • For security reasons, your BigPay Card details cannot be edited. Should you wish to edit your details, you have to delete the existing BigPay Card linked to your AirAsia Account and add in the accurate card details. When viewing card details, only the last 4 digits of the number will be visible.
  • You acknowledge that we are not liable for your use of the BigPay Card and the @Checkout feature, including without limitation any risks associated with the purchase of flight ticket(s) or add-ons on airasia.com via @Checkout feature.
  • @Checkout feature is only applicable for flight tickets and add-on purchases that are completed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) currency . You are not able to use the @Checkout feature for purchases of other products and services available on airasia.com.
  • @Checkout feature transaction limit is subject to your BigPay Card balance availability and/or the daily transaction limit imposed by BigPay. We may further refuse any transaction or limit the amount to be transacted either on a per transaction or aggregate basis at any time and for any reason with or without notice to you.
  • You are eligible to earn airasia points for every purchase made using @Checkout. The earning ratio for every RM1 spent on airasia.com is equivalent to 0.5 airasia points.

Miscellaneous

  • In the event of any inconsistency between this @Checkout Terms and Conditions and other terms and conditions, this Terms and Conditions shall prevail but only to the extent to such inconsistency.
  • This Terms and Conditions are governed by laws of Malaysia and all disputes relating to and in connection hereof shall be subjected to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Kuala Lumpur.
  • In the event of inconsistency between the English language version and any other language translations, the English language version shall prevail.
