Our Self Check-In facility is not available to the following guest(s):
Expectant mothers.
Guest(s) travelling with Infant(s).
Guest(s) with reduced mobility and those with special needs.
Guest(s) travelling alone below 16 years old.
More than 9 guests in one Reservation Number.
Credit card and E-Gift Vouchers booking made online or at the Call Centre for flights that depart within 48 hours from the time of booking.
Our Self Check-In service is subject to the requirements below:
If you are traveling to an international destination, are required to comply with Article 6.5 and validate their Web/Kiosk boarding pass at the airport's Self Check-In counter. Your boarding pass is invalid until it is stamped as proof of validation.
You are required to comply with our Article 8.1 herein and the rules relating to Risk Item/Dangerous Goods Notice.
If you are traveling to East Malaysia, you must comply with Article 6.6 (Document Advisory) and Article 6.5 (Travel Documents) of AirAsia's Terms and Conditions of Carriage.

1. What is Self Check-In?
Self Check-In is a service that allows guests to check-in from our airport kiosks, via mobile or online on our website without needing to be at the check-in counter at the airport.
2. How do I use Self Check-In?
Choose one of the following options to check-in,
Web Check-In : available on our website.
Mobile Check-In : available from your mobile in Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.
Kiosk Check-In : available in selected airports in Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.
3. Do I have to pay for Self Check-In?
No, our Self Check-In services are free. You will only have to bear the SMS or WAP costs when using Mobile Check-In.
4. I’ve checked-in, where do I drop my baggage?
You can drop your baggage at the Self Check-In Counter, at least 45 minutes before scheduled departure time for AirAsia flights and 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time for AirAsia X flights.
5. When can I use Self Check-In?
Web Check-In is available on our website 48 hours prior and 4 hours before the scheduled departure time.
Mobile Check-In is available from your mobile in Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore 48 hours prior and 4 hours before scheduled departure time.
Kiosk Check-In is available in selected airports in Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore, 6 hours prior and 1 hour before the scheduled departure time.
6. I have Sports Equipment, can I use Self Check-In?
Yes, however, your Sports Equipment will be subject to the necessary charges at the Self Check-In Counter.
